Investors are piling into artificial-intelligence and large-capitalization technology stocks this year.
On Thursday, exchange-traded funds firm Roundhill Investments announced that it has surpassed $10 billion in assets under management. The company said investor inflows this year are more than $5.5 billion.
“Crossing $10 billion in AUM is an incredible milestone for our team, but it’s only the beginning,” Roundhill CEO Dave Mazza said. “Our focus remains on delivering innovative, high-conviction products that connect with today’s investors.”
The firm said that its Roundhill Magnificent Seven (MAGS) and Roundhill Generative AI & Technology (CHAT) ETFs were big drivers of growth.
The former offers exposure to the “Magnificent Seven” stocks, which include Alphabet, Amazon , Apple , Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Tesla. The fund has an annual expense ratio of 0.29%. The latter is an actively-managed ETF that finds companies that help power AI tools and platforms to increase productivity. Top holdings include Nvidia, Alphabet, and SK Hynix. The fund has an annual expense ratio of 0.75%.
Despite their higher expense ratios, the ETFs have outperformed the general market. The Mag Seven is up 22% this year, while the Gen AI & Tech is up 56%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indexes are up 15% and up 20%, respectively.
Even as large-cap tech stocks and AI names drive the general market, the Roundhill ETFs offer more-focused exposure to the technology innovation theme.
