YouTube TV says it had reached a deal to keep content from Fox on its platform, a day after the two sides reached a short-term extension.

The agreement means YouTube TV viewers will be able to watch football this weekend. Fox is broadcasting Saturday’s college football matchup between top-ranked Texas and defending champion Ohio State.

Highlights of Fox’s NFL coverage that will also air on YouTube TV include its weekly “America’s Game of the Week” match-up, and a Thanksgiving clash between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.

“We’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal with Fox to keep their content on YouTube TV,” the TV streaming platform said in a post on X on Thursday.

Fox and Barron’s parent News Corp. share common ownership.

Fox stock climbed 0.6% on Friday. Shares in YouTube TV parent Alphabet ticked up 0.2%. The benchmark S&P 500 was 0.3% lower.

It’s a smart deal for both parties, keeping key news and sports broadcasts on YouTube TV and enabling Fox to reach millions more viewers. Tech platforms and legacy media companies are battling for streaming dominance, but right now YouTube TV leads the pack, with a 12.8% market share.

Shares in Fox and Alphabet are up 19% and 12% respectively this year.
