Nvidia stock was inching down Tuesday, a day after Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest disclosed increased stakes in the chip maker.
Shares slipped 1% to $178.26 Tuesday after surging 3.6% to an all-time high on Monday. The stock remains up 33% this year.
On Monday, Wood’s funds bought 23,211 Nvidia shares—worth around $4.2 million at the close—across two exchange-traded funds, the ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF and the ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF , according to ARK’s daily trade file.
Nvidia represents 2.7% of both funds, as the 13th and 14th largest holding, respectively.
Wood’s funds had reduced their Nvidia holdings before the stock’s enormous rally in 2023. However, her flagship ARK Innovation ETF scooped up hundreds of thousands of shares after President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff announcements in early April prompted a sell-off.
Among other chip makers, Advanced Micro Devices fell 1.4% and Broadcom was down 1.6% on Tuesday.
Corrections & Amplifications: Two ARK Invest ETFs increased existing stakes in Nvidia. A previous version of this article incorrectly said ARK disclosed new stakes in Nvidia.
