These stocks were moving Tuesday:
U.S.-listed shares in Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk rose 7.4% after the Food and Drug Administration approved the first GLP-1 pill, a tablet formulation of Novo’s Ozempic and Wegovy. Novo Nordisk said Monday that it plans to start selling the new pill in the U.S. in early January at $149 a month for the starting dose. Rival pharma giant Eli Lilly, which sells weight-loss injectable Zepbound, slipped 0.5%.
ServiceNow declined 1.5% after agreeing to acquire cybersecurity company Armis in an all-cash deal worth $7.75 billion. Adding Armis will broaden ServiceNow’s security workflow offerings and improve vulnerability response as artificial intelligence is boosting security spending, the company said.
Micron Technology dipped 0.1% to pull back from its Monday record close of $276.59. The memory-chip maker’s shares had been rallying ever since a stellar earnings report last week, lifting Micron’s market capitalization above $300 billion for the first time ever on Monday.
Trump Media & Technology Group fell 1.8%. The shares, which trade under the ticker DJT in reference to President Donald Trump’s initials, slumped 10% on Monday amid uncertainty about whether the Truth Social parent will be able to pull off the pivot to nuclear fusion it announced last week.
Gold mining stocks edged higher after the precious metal surged to yet another record high. Newmont gained 0.4%, and Freeport-McMoRan rose 2.5%. Freeport also received a boost from copper prices setting a record high on Tuesday, trading above $12,000 a ton for the first time.
Crypto stocks declined following a 1% drop for Bitcoin over the past 24 hours. Coinbase Global fell 2.3%, Strategy fell 3.9%, and Robinhood Markets declined 1.7%.
Zim Integrated Shipping Services rose 5.8% after the Israel-based logistics provider said as part of its strategic review that its board had “received competitive proposals from multiple strategic parties to acquire all the outstanding ordinary shares of the company,” and it was evaluating the offers.
Reddit fell 3.1% to $225.82. Analysts at Needham named the social media platform as their top stock pick for 2026, and reiterated a Buy rating and price target of $300. Reddit has sky-high revenue growth, and its endless trove of forums is a gold mine for artificial-intelligence developers, according to Needham.
