The stock market had another quiet session, with the major indexes falling slightly Tuesday. All are still close to all-time highs but not far testing key support.
FTAI Aviation (FTAI) blasted through a buy zone amid a big shift into artificial intelligence. Gold and silver stocks rebounded.
Shopify (SHOP) and Eli Lilly (LLY) have forged new buy points. Nu Holdings (NU), Amphenol (APH), Guardant Health (GH), Reddit (RDDT) and Evercore (EVR) also are setting up or flirting with buy points.

by SCOTT LEHTONENThe Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major stock indexes ended Tuesday’s session slightly lower, sticking in negative territory after the Federal Reserve’s December meeting minutes suggested policymakers are leaning toward standing pat on interest rates. Among movers, Palantir Technologies (PLTR) and Tesla (TSLA) were losers on the stock market today.
The Dow closed the day 0.2% lower. The S&P 500 gave back 0.1%, marking a third straight loss as six of its 11 sectors fell. The Nasdaq composite shed 0.2%. Small caps struggled, leaving the Russell 2000 lower by 0.7%.

Meanwhile, AppLovin (APP), Palantir Technologies (PLTR), Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla (TSLA) were big losers during Monday’s session.
AppLovin shares tumbled 2.2% Monday, extending a losing streak to four sessions and closing just above a 675 double-bottom entry. The stock found support at its 21-day exponential moving average.

by SCOTT LEHTONENThe Dow Jones Industrial Average and other major indexes ended Monday with losses on a holiday-shortened week. Precious metals names were especially hit hard as gold fell more than 4% and the price of silver plunged around 7% on the stock market today after hitting a new high.
The Dow closed the day down 0.5%, shedding 249 points. Nvidia (NVDA) was a big Dow loser with a 1.6% drop, following two weeks of impressive gains. The S&P 500 retreated nearly 0.4%. Last week, the S&P 500 and the Dow each made record closing highs.

The stock market rally had a solid performance during Christmas week, with the S&P 500 hitting an all-time intraday high Friday while the Dow Jones set a record close Wednesday.
Tesla stock fell slightly last week after hitting a record high, but was still in a buy zone. Shares were undercutting the entry early Monday. Elon Musk’s year-end deadline for unsupervised robotaxis and 2025 deliveries data both loom this week.

On the stock market today, Nvidia (NVDA) pushed higher while Palantir Technologies (PLTR) weakened in thin volume, slightly eating its huge year-to-date gain.
The Dow closed less than 0.1% lower, shedding 20 points despite Nvidia’s 1% move higher. McDonald’s (MCD) and Disney (DIS) weighed down the Dow by losing nearly 1% each. The S&P 500 slipped 2 points after hitting its highest intraday level. The Nasdaq composite also didn’t make any progress and shed 0.1%.

The stock market rally had a positive half-day Christmas Eve session, with the S&P 500 hitting an all-time intraday high and the Dow Jones marking a record close. Travere Therapeutics (TVTX) made a powerful breakout Wednesday.
Palantir Technologies (PLTR), Nvidia (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL) continued to trade in buy areas.
